Tiny Brains makes it to PS4

Check out our interview with Spearhead Games on the co-operative physics puzzler.

Spearhead Games have confirmed that the upcoming {Tiny Brains} will make it to PS4. We caught up with Spearhead Games' Malik Boukhira and Simon Darveau at PAX East where they explained the concept of {Tiny Brains} - a co-operative action puzzler starring lab animals with various powers (force push, pull, position swapping, create a block).

They spoke a lot of the iterative approach and agile development they employ. A marked difference from their previous experience with big studios and publishers (Darveau was design director on {Assassin's Creed III} and Boukhira worked on {Assassin's Creed} I and II as well as {Dead Space 3}). The game is designed with co-op in mind, but they are also experimenting with a possible singleplayer mode.

"We are working on a singleplayer mode with a different character who has all the powers. We're still considering how to introduce it, because it's much harder to play like that. You have to know the advanced patterns. We've confirmed that the whole campaign is doable with this character, but it's really not the same level of difficulty so we're looking at how to introduce it the best way," said Simon Darveau.

"It's an entirely different game as a singleplayer game basically. It's really awesome, but not for the same reasons," said Malik Boukhira. "It's really mindblowing what you can do if you control all the powers at the same time."
