We're having troubles with Mass Effect: Andromeda multiplayer
Hopefully Bioware has enough time to fix issues ahead of the full launch next week.
Over the last couple of days we've spent some time trying out the multiplayer of {Mass Effect: Andromeda} on PC along with Origin Access subscribers (who have a ten hour window to play the game this week). Unfortunately our sessions have been plagued with issues ranging from the fairly expected lag as a result of a bad host (it is peer-to-peer, afterall), to having the game completely freeze forcing a hard reboot presumably to do with host migration. Clearly, Bioware are looking into how the matchmaking works (it should be said that it is very fast) in terms of setting you up with an appropriate host. It should also be said that when host migration works it works fast, but that only helps with lag if the host that is causing the lag decides to leave the match.
We have noticed that updates have been coming for the game during our early access, so hopefully there is more on the way to help shore up the multiplayer that otherwise offers rather enjoyable tactical co-op along the same lines as {Mass Effect 3}.
It should be noted that we're not the only ones suffering from the freeze bug.
