We talked CoD multiplayer maps with Sledgehammer
We had a chat with lead multiplayer designer Greg Reisdorf at the CoD Champs.
We caught up with lead multiplayer designer Greg Reisdorf during the {Call of Duty} Championship to discuss the event, map design and the philosophy going into designing new maps.
"With Advanced Warfare here, something that I've worked on for three years, like seeing these guys play it at this level, is just amazing," says Reisdorf of witnessing the competition first hand. "It's very exciting to see what these guys can do in this level of competition."
"In general maps are just difficult to design," says Reisdorf. "Just because we want them to be fair, we want them to be competitive. Especially when you're talking about the maps here at CoD Champs, the ones that these guys are playing. There's nine of the shipped maps that we're actually playing at CoD Champs, and that's the most that these guys have played in CoD Champs before. And to have that, that's an awesome achievement."
Reisdorf also went on to detail the what went into designing the new maps for the second DLC pack (Ascendance) that was recently released on Xbox.
