Ubisoft: This generation has about two years left

Some people expect that the next major console to be released will be the PlayStation 5, but the PlayStation 4 was only updated to the newer model and the Pro last year, and is still selling incredibly well. So when will the next generation begin?

Well, according to Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot, a new generation probably won't be coming until 2019 at the earliest, as the co-founder had this to say during an earnings briefing (as reported by TweakTown): "We think we have about 2 years before something else is coming."

He points out that it's just his educated guess and not something he knows, and also adds that he has "great confidence" in Ubisoft's long-term plans for the fiscal years 2019-2021. Interesting stuff indeed, which indicates they have a solid idea what's coming and what they plan on doing.
