Three new Star Wars films have been dated

Disney has released a theatrical schedule all the way until 2027, including many untitled projects in the Marvel universe.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Disney has updated the release schedules for themselves and Fox (which they acquired earlier this year), and as part of this three untitled Star Wars films have been revealed.

The first of these will be arriving on December 16, 2022, with the second on December 20, 2024, and the third on December 18, 2026. We don't know anything about these projects yet, but we do know The Last Jedi's Rian Johnson is working on a trilogy, while Game of Thrones' David Benioff and D.B. Weiss are making a trilogy too (apparently due to start filming in autumn).

We have Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker to look forward to later this year, but Kris Tapley's tweet gives an indication of all the projects that are heading our way, all the way up to Avatar 5 in 2027.

What about Marvel though? Well, plenty of untitled projects are coming over the next few years, but we don't know how they'll follow the recently-released Avengers: Endgame.
