The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - PS4 Pro vs Switch

We compare these two versions of Bethesda's epic RPG.

{The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim} was one of the highlights of the Nintendo Switch's reveal, and now Bethesda's six-year-old RPG is finally available on the console. We've already been able to play it (more on that here) and we can say that it runs at a stable 30 frames per second, or at least it felt like it. As for the graphics themselves, well, there are of course differences between the Switch version and the Legendary Edition that was released a year ago.

We recorded videos from the PS4 Pro and Switch versions, both with the same card at 1080p. The video shows a big difference regarding resolution, texture quality, lighting, and overall detail, especially outdoors. If you play both versions on a big 4K TV, the difference is even greater. On the big screen, the Nintendo Switch version is very blurry, although when playing in portable mode it does look crisper.

{The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim} arrives at the Nintendo Switch on November 17 with a price of €59.99 / £49.99.

Yup, we had to do that cart ride again yet again...
