Steam reveals most controller-friendly games

While a lot of PC gamers may use a mouse and keyboard to get around, especially when it comes to FPS games, there are still those who want to game on the PC but also use a controller of some description, and now Steam has revealed some lists to help these players out.

We say 'some' because there are actually four lists, for the DualShock; Xbox; Steam; and Switch Pro controllers. In each of these lists Valve highlights the games being favoured with users on that controller over others, as well as those with multiple controllers being used for local multiplayer, not to mention of course the most popular games in general.

With DualShock controllers Dark Souls III and Dark Souls Remastered are featured in the lists, alongside similar titles like The Witcher 3, Nioh, and Assassin's Creed Odyssey. Both Skyrim and Fallout 4 feature as well, as well as fighting games like Dragon Ball FighterZ and Soul Calibur 6.

When it comes to Xbox though we get to see Assassin's Creed Origins and Middle-earth: Shadow of War in there, as well as Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age. Ark: Survival Evolved, No Man's Sky, and Kingdom Come: Deliverance all help round off a very eclectic mix for the Xbox controller users.

In terms of the Steam controller, all three Dark Souls games are again showing their face in this list (alongside Shadow of War too), but we also get to see some different games like Final Fantasy XV, Overcooked 2, and Borderlands 2.

Finally, when looking at the Switch Pro controller Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom are featured, and it might surprise you to see Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain there too. Overcooked 2 and Stardew Valley might be a touch less surprising though, considering their prevalence on the Switch.

That's not all though, as Valve also adds that those who can work out how to use a dance mat on PC should also try out Crypt of the NecroDancer or The Metronomicon... apparently.
