S.T.A.L.K.E.R. devs moves on

The back and forth on the status of GSC Gameworld's {S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2} has been an on-going saga for a while now, but perhaps it's time to move on, cause that's what a bunch of former GSC staffers have done as they've founded Vostok Games.

Their first game, {Survarium}, is a game set in the same kind of universe as S.T.A.L.K.E.R., but this is going to be a massively multiplayer free-to-play experience.

"The concept of {Survarium} is a next evolution step for the idea of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. we've been working on for the last ten years," project lead Ruslan Didenko, who was also a project lead at GSC, told Gamasutra.

Based in Kiev, Vostok Games hopes to have {Survarium} ready for launch late in 2013.
