SSFIV Arcade Edition announced
Offered as both DLC and on disc
Hinted at for long enough enough, Capcom chose its Captivate event to confirm that {Super Street Fighter IV} Arcade Edition is to hit consoles in the near future - June 24 to be exact.
However, before you worry about having to pick up yet another version of SFIV, Capcom has confirmed that the content will be released both as a retail edition and as DLC. The four new fighters - Evil Ryu, Oni, Yun and Yang - will be packed into a purchasable DLC pack that also includes a bunch of new features, and will retail for around fifteen quid. The retail release will sell at full price.
Come the release, all SSFIV owners will also receive a free update that makes all SSFIV games and versions compatible in online battles.
AE's new features will include new Replay and Elite Channels. They will make it much easier to follow online the matches of world's best and favourite players. New battle displays will, on the other hand, give players the ability to customise what info (gamer tag, battle points, wins and losses etc.) will be shown on the screen during online matches.
This time around also PC players get to enjoy SSFIV. AE will be released on both disc and DLC June 24th for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
