Sparc gets Championship update adding new modes
Those who want to get competitive can try Ranked, or you can watch your friends as a Courtside spectator.
CCP Games has revealed that their VR game Sparc has just received its first major update, called the Championship update, adding cross-platform modes as well as Ranked and Custom games for players to dive into.
Quick Play is the fastest way to get involved, but Custom games allow for players to tweak modes and settings. Ranked Mode, however, is for those wanting to climb the leaderboard and get competitive, as the Legend tier only available for the top 10 players in the world, with Diamond, Gold, Silver, and Bronze below that (assigned once you play your first 10 matches).
Courtside has also been introduced with this update, which is a spectator tool letting you watch Custom games from the sidelines. Here you play as a headless observer, invisible to the players and other spectators, although a counter on the scoreboard shows how many are watching.
Sparc is available now for PSVR, HTC Vive, and Oculus Rift headsets, and if you want an insight into this update then be sure to check out the new trailer below.
Which modes will you be trying out?
