Sledgehammer Games improves connectivity in CoD: WWII

They've addressed some of the issues fans have been noticing.

As we reported last Friday, at launch Call of Duty: WWII had some connectivity issues, with players having trouble accessing the servers, and now developer Sledgehammer Games has released a statement explaining what some of the issues were and that they're aware of the problems players are experiencing.

The developer starts by saying that they've been "working hard around the clock to optimise the experience for everyone and have made a series of updates to address issues over the last 48 hours." These issues include a remarkably high volume of players on the servers in a short amount of time, and to combat this Sledgehammer has "pushed a change enabling higher capacity load balancers, resulting in improved live connectivity. In addition, we made HQ a solo experience, and deactivated Leaderboard updates in the short term."

This change has allegedly improved the line connectivity as well as in-match experiences, with a strong and stable network performance on all platforms. As for Headquarters, this should "return to its fully-populated, shared experience shortly," and leaderboard stats are still being recorded, so don't worry about that either.

"We also saw some players lost their rank in core MP progression," the studio adds. "Thankfully, the vast majority lost 5 or fewer levels. The issue was isolated and the fix was deployed Sunday morning. We realise losing progression is very frustrating. We are committed to making it up to the affected players."

Did you run into any of the above issues?
