Settlers population 1.5 million

Ubisoft yesterday announced the commencement of the English language European Open Beta of their PC title The Settlers Online.

In its initial roll-out across Germany, France, Russia and the US, the game attracted more than 1.5 million players.

Thomas Paincon, EMEA FTP Publishing Director said: "The Settlers is a beloved, enduring franchise which strategy players from all over the world enjoy and it's exciting to be able to offer those fans a new way to interact with the Settlers Universe."
