Quote releases 'first draft' alpha version today

It's 50% off for the next two days.

Vindit's action RPG Quote has released today as a alpha version suitably called the 'first draft', and it will be half price for the next 48 hours.

"Inspired by classic literature and surrealist art, Quote puts players in control of Novella, high priestess of Bliss, god of Ignorance," the press release reads. "Join her and her bizarre bird-man sidekick Tatters on a crusade to rid the world of all knowledge. It's the only way to ensure eternal peace - so what if it means untold suffering?"

"Featuring fully-voiced, real-time narration, over 20 unlockable abilities and a delicious blend of action and deduction, Quote is a dark, witty and explosive journey through a beautiful but ravaged world."

The first two chapters will be available in this early version of the game and the 'first draft' will be available for 50% off (now at £10) until 12pm GMT on December 16. These keys are provided via itch.io, and when the game moves to Steam early access next year, players will also get a key for that.

"We're desperate to show Quote to the universe, but it's early-ish days and so we've decided to limit it to an especially excited few before we fling the doors wide open," explains Vindit's 'God of Ignorance', Robin Lacey. "The limited First Draft availability means we can establish a small but enthusiastic community with which to lay the groundwork for the eradication of all knowledge from the world. That will be Bliss indeed."

The game will automatically update, and early adopters also get exclusive content and feedback forums exclusive to them. For more on Quote check out our preview. Will you be getting the 'first draft' of Quote?
