Quake Champions beta dated during Quakecon keynote
Plus Elder Scrolls: Legends open beta kicks off, Doom DLC launches.
We were in Dallas, Texas, to hear the keynote speech during Quakecon 2016, and there was a number of minor announcements made during the hour long talk.
Pete Hines, Tim Willits and Marty Stratton all took to the stage at various points to talk about about {Doom}, {Quake Champions}, and the event itself, and we were also treated to a gameplay presentation of Arkane's recently announced {Prey} reboot from Raf Colantonio and Ricardo Bare.
Notable announcements came in the form of the release of the new {Doom} DLC, Unto the Evil (out today), and the launch of the open beta of the fantasy themed CCG, {The Elder Scrolls: Legends} (also out today).
Towards the end of the show we also found out about id's plans for the beta for {Quake Champions}, which is due to take place next year (when exactly we're not sure). We were told that the beta for the arena shooter will launch with around a dozen heroes, with more set to come online thereafter.
There's a lot more details to tell you about from the behind closed doors demos we were privy to, so stay tuned to Gamereactor for all our impressions, as well as interviews with developers from Bethesda, id Software, and Arkane Studios.
