Procedural generation sets Due Process apart from Siege
We talked with the game's creative director at PAX East.
Due Process is a game that on first glance looks very similar to Ubisoft's shooter Rainbow Six: Siege when you look at trailers, but when we caught up with creative director Alexander Baard we found out what sets Giant Enemy Crab's game apart from other tactical shooters that are out there, which all has to do with the planning phase.
"I mean, that's exactly it," he said. "Because the maps are procedurally-generated, there's no map knowledge, and in Siege there's a lot you have to know in order to play the game, like where to peek and where to hold, exactly where to put your crosshair. With this it's more about the strategy, it's about figuring out how you're gonna get crossfire into a room, things like that, where you're going to deploy your shield, that kind of stuff."
Do you think that Due Process looks like a good competitor for Siege?
