In readiness for the release of the The Darkness II early next year, 2K has released a video detailing the background of the character.
The sequel's being developed by Digital Extremes, but the studio is coming in after a turbulent story arc of the original, crafted by Syndicate developer Starbreeze. Think being a Mob boss and having demonic powers is a barrel of laughs? Think again.
The trailer would suggest that the Digital Extremes is interested in continuing the themes of the first title, which is a good thing; despite its flaws the original title had a grippingly mature storyline that, well...we'll let the video explain.
