Ping system revealed for Borderlands 3

From loot to bad guys, you can highlight various elements in-game to help your buddies out in the adventure.

Shooters and ping systems have gone together quite well this year. Apex Legends introduced its own ping system that proved rather useful, and Fortnite adopted a similar mechanic soon after, allowing you to communicate targets and useful items to teammates in-game without the need for a mic, something that Borderlands 3 is now adopting as well.

Just like with Apex Legends, this ping system is contextual, as you can see in the video below. Point at an enemy and a red target will be placed on them, for example, and chests can also be highlighted for that all-important loot, each of which comes with a witty one-liner from your character.

Earlier this month Claptrap introduced the flora and fauna of the game, and if you want to see even more on Borderlands 3, check out our E3 gameplay with Moze.

Are you glad to see a ping system in there?
