PES 2017 graphics comparison: PC vs PS4

Official assets confirm that the PC version isn't in the same league.

Earlier this month there was some considerable backlash and criticism amongst PC-based PES fans, when brand manager Adam Bhatti confirmed that for yet another season, the PC version of PES 2017 won't be at the same level as, for example, the PS4 version (although the PES man then promised that they're working to improve the PC version next year).

This is down to visual details and SFX, in addition to some extra shots or animations that are exclusive to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Now, with {Pro Evolution Soccer 2017} announcements coming from Gamescom as we write, new proof demonstrating the significant differences between the versions have arisen.

Konami has shared new PES 2017 pictures and footage, mirroring the gallery presented last month when the Barça deal was announced, and including the trailer dedicated to the Spanish club. In order for you to notice the less impressive PC visuals, we have put the PC trailer next to the PS4 trailer below, and the same with side-by-side screenshots.

If you play the clips or zoom in on the gallery bellow, you'll see the great differences in lighting, shading and visual effects such as DOF, motion blur, fog, skies, colours or grass, all inferior or even missing in PES 2017 for PC.

On top of that, regarding extras, we have to underline you won't find Camp Nou exteriors on the PC version, nor the Neymar shirtless celebration, as these are exclusive to the current-gen consoles.
