Pathologic 2 coming in May
This unpredictable world from Ice-pick Lodge will land on Xbox One at a later date, with those at PAX East able to play a demo this weekend.
Those who have already experienced the strange events of Pathologic may be pleased to hear that Pathologic 2 is coming our way soon, as it'll be released on Steam on May 23, with Gearbox handling the retail distribution on Xbox One when that version arrives later this year.
This is a narrative-driven thriller that's actually a "reimagination" of the first game, except with subtle story deviations. It provides a world that's "unpredictable, merciless and in the end, not at all what you expect," according to the press release, and you can see what we mean just by the release date trailer and the screens below.
The story revolves around 12 days of the deadly plague, and survival elements are mixed with RPG mechanics to give you a game full of choice and "grey moral topics". Every death makes a permanent impact on your character, and developer Ice-pick Lodge promises you don't need to have played the original to enjoy this.
A demo will be playable at PAX East this weekend, and the demo will be released shortly after to try as well.
Can this top the original?
