New Wii-model coming

Nintendo gears up for the Holidays.

While Gamescom is raging in Europe, Nintendo took the time to announce that they are bringing out a new Wii-model this fall. The new model is smaller and more streamlined than the old one. It will no longer be compatible with Gamecube games, comes with {Wii Sports} and {Wii Party} and of course a Wii Remote Plus and a Nunchuck.

The new bundle will be out this October. Is it just us, or does the new model look a lot like the Wii-U that could be seen in some of the promotional shots from E3...?
