Mirror's Edge fell short

Gibeau talks Mirror's Edge and Dead Space 2

In an interview with Develop, EA Games president Frank Gibeau is quite honest when it comes to games like {Mirror's Edge} and {Dead Space 2} and how they didn't really live up to the company's expectations.

"Well both of those games had some degree of success but they didn't quite meet our expectations, for sure. I think the reasons why, in both cases, are very different," Gibeau says.

"What I learned from {Mirror's Edge} is that you have to execute, you have to spend more time on a game to ensure it's polished, and you need to have the depth and persistence of an online game. First-person parkour across buildings is fun, but to be blunt, {Mirror's Edge}'s' execution fell short."

{Mirror's Edge} seems to be one of those games that you either hate or love. What do you think, did it live up to your expectations?
