Might & Delight announce Pid
Retro styled co-op antics.
Might & Delight, the upstart studio formed by the principal members of the old Bionic Command: Rearmed team at closed down Grin, have announced their first game, the retro styled 2D platformer {Pid}.
Here is a brief description of the game, courtesy of the press release:
"In the fantastic world of {Pid}, the player's unique and eccentric journey unfolds as the protagonist is stranded on a remote planet. Players hone their gaming abilities through creative approaches to gravitybending action, intricate puzzle-solving and classic precision platform action, overcoming larger-than-life obstacles and surprisingly original enemy characters. Throughout the course of the adventures in {Pid}, players will be challenged to outwit a variety of quirky robots and befriend unlikely allies on their quest to face-off against a ruler that has no intention of letting anyone leave the planet."

Sounds strange and wonderful, sort of like {Rochard} with a different universe and style, and with co-operative play.
"It´s our ambition to create an experience that has the elegant simplicity of old adventure games, where the most important ingredient is rhythm found not only in the relation between story and visuals but also in the way the game plays," said Jakob Tuchten, creative director, Might and Delight.
"We're building a refreshing experience that pays homage to the days of classic platform games while bringing something completely new to the global gaming marketplace."

Might & Delight are teaming up with former Capcom man Adam Boyes' Beefy Media.
"I was fortunate enough to work with this talented team on {Bionic Commando: Rearmed}, a remake of a classic 8-bit game that ended up with higher review scores than the original game," said Adam Boyes, president, Beefy Media. "It's rare that you find a team as gifted as Might and Delight that has both an incredible eye for aesthetics and deep commitment to the feel of gameplay. I'm not sure what Sweden has in its water, but I think they should
bottle and sell it to the rest of the games industry."
No platforms have been confirmed, but the term "digital platforms" is used with the press material. Check out the first screens and a trailer below.
