Improved Xbox 360 pad hits UK

D-Pad switching controller due in March

The Xbox 360 Silver Wireless Controller, which was released in the US last year, will finally be available in UK stores from March 4, according to Gamerzines (via CVG.)

The controller, which will retail for £44.99 and come with a Play & Charge kit bundled, has interested gamers since it's appearance due to its D-Pad design, which allows you to raise the D-Pad cross out of the current disc shape with a simple flourish. Gamerzines reports that the release of the controller in the UK has been confirmed to it by Microsoft.

The standard Xbox 360 controller has received criticism in the past due to the inaccuracy and poor response of the disc-based pad, which has caused trouble for 2D titles, especially for the likes of Street Fighter and Marvel Vs Capcom 2.
