Spartacus Legends

GRTV: Spartacus Legends - Interview

At PAX East earlier this year we spoke to producer Josh Mast about free-to-play gladiatorial fighter Spartacus Legends.

Ubisoft's Josh Mast talked with us at this year's PAX East about {Spartacus Legends}, the free-to-play fighter based on the popular television series.

He explain the basic premise of the game to us: "So the Gladiator fighting game is much more brutal. It's a lot more sort of a realistic fighting than you would see in a Street Fighter or something like that. It's very, just sort of engaging, very brutal, the moves are very much the things you would see from the show, and if you're familiar with the show Spartacus on Starz, it's a sort of over-the-top, very gory, very violent, very exciting action fighting game."

Interestingly, the game is going to be free-to-play, and on the show floor they were demonstrating the free content that will be available to gamers. "It's really exciting for us, we're one of the first games on Xbox Live Arcade to be free-to-play," Mast explained. There's more content that'll be available to buy for the game, and that'll be revealed at a later date.
