Fallout 76 is currently down for maintenance

The official Twitter account for Fallout has revealed that Fallout 76 is down for maintenance today as of 14:00 GMT (15:00 CET), meaning that we won't be able to play temporarily.

The game has had plenty of criticism leveled at it since launch, from frame-rate issues to bugs, and hopefully the update should address some of the technical issues that people have been experiencing.

Just in case you were wondering, this totally locks you out of the game, including the gallery, options, and the main menu, so it's not worth booting up until everything's back to normal.
