Digital upgrade offered for Destiny

Great news for those of you who want to upgrade and play Destiny on new-gen, but still have an old-gen console, as Bungie and Activision are offering a free upgrade for players who grab the digital Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game.

As detailed here, the base game, the Guardian Edition, and the expansion pass, can all be upgraded between console generations. The deal is valid until January 15, which should cover you if you're planning/hoping to get a new console during the winter holiday.

Destiny is set to launch on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One on September 9 (so, not long now). While we wait, Bungie recently released a stellar live-action trailer, which we've added below, incase you missed it yesterday.
