Dead Space 2 multiplayer

It has been rumoured that Visceral Games' {Dead Space 2} would include a multiplayer mode and now this has been confirmed by MTV Multiplayer blog, who quoted an EA rep saying "'{Dead Space 2}' will feature multiplayer where you'll be able to strategically dismember your friends for the first time" at a Gamestop convention. Sounds like competitive multiplayer is what we're in for.
