Control's September update lands for PS4
PC and Xbox One players will get it soon, and it brings a whole host of fixes and improvements.
We rather enjoyed Control (as you can tell from our review), and it seems that most people did as well, receiving high scores all round. That being said, there are performance issues that let it down, although Remedy is looking to address these - at least in part - with its September Update.
As revealed in the patch notes, this update is available right now for PS4, with those on PC and Xbox One getting it "very soon". We won't replicate all the patch notes here, but there are multiple bug and crash fixes, as well as addressing issues with progression, sound, and UI.
Performance-wise, "title stability" has been improved, as well as "general frame-rate performance through optimisations made to multiple systems and content". Map loading times have also been improved.
In terms of new features, motion blur and film grain can now be toggled on and off in options as well.
