Command & Conquer Remastered Collection

Command & Conquer Remastered has first gameplay trailer

The visuals are still in a 2D style, but they're been polished and matched to the original animations to preserve authenticity.

A year after revealing the remaster of Command & Conquer, EA has updated fans on how the project from Petroglyph Games and Lemon Sky Studios is going, including the first teaser of the strategy game's return.

We also know that the remaster will feature the same classic 2D style you remember, and EA clarifies that this is not a remake, hence why authenticity is important. Lemon Sky has "re-concepted, re-modeled, and re-animated every gameplay asset from scratch" though, lining them up frame-by-frame with the original visuals.

That said, you can switch between Legacy and Remastered graphical options in the campaign, all in real-time. At one moment you could be playing in 320 x 200, before moving to 3840 x 2160, and you can see this in action here. You'll also have the ability to zoom the camera, to get an even better look.
