Chronicle: RuneScape Legends open beta dated

Yesterday Jagex made a couple of RuneScape-themed announcements as the studio marked the 15th birthday of their evergreen MMORPG.

The most prominent was in regards to their card battler, {Chronicle: Runescape Legends}, which is heading into open beta on March 23 (we went to see the game late last year and came away impressed - you can read our thoughts here).

Jagex also confirmed a couple of interesting stats (if you like stats, that is), and apparently during the ten week closed beta more than 700,000 games were played across 7.5 million minutes, and in that time players created 185k customised decks.

The studio also confirmed that they're partnering up with Hyper Hippo to create RuneScape: Idle Adventures, a multi-platform title heading to Steam and mobile devices sometime this spring. They're promising "a miniature RPG experience unlike any other, one that enables players to enjoy a RuneScape-themed adventure in just a few moments each day - anywhere, anytime."
