Bottlerocket tries to bounce back

After having publisher Namco Bandai come in and take all their development kits and work away on the {Splatterhouse} remake, developer Bottlerocket Entertainment have told Gamasutra they are working on a new project. It is fair to assume Bottlerocket needs to find funding soon though, as they are not going to get any more money from Namco Bandai for {Splatterhouse} and their last project prior to that was a game based on The Flash license that went down in flames as publisher Brash Entertainment went down.

Bottlerocket Entertainment was formed by the core of the team that made {The Mark of Kri} when at Sony and their first game as an independent developer was the sequel Rise of the Kisai. They also created a game based on the kids cartoon show Xiaolin Showdown published by Konami in 2006. Meanwhile Namco Bandai has assured fans they intend to finish {Splatterhouse} up on their own with the internal team responsible for {Afro Samurai}.

Let's keep our fingers crossed for BottleRocket Entertainment - there has been enough developer deaths lately.
