Bleszinski focusing on post-launch support for LawBreakers
Tenth class coming after launch, along with new maps and more.
We're in sunny LA at the E3 convention and we managed to grab a quick chat with Cliff Bleszinski, who's currently working on his upcoming hero shooter, Lawbreakers. It's been compared to Overwatch and Paladins, but Lawbreakers has a much grittier, more realistic aesthetic that sets it apart from what many describe as the "Pixar look".
One topic we touched on with Bleszinski is post-launch support. There's currently nine classes and 18 characters in the game, but because Boss Key Productions are so close to launch, he said there's not a lot for him to be working on right now, so he's directing his efforts toward content after the game ships.
"I'm at the point where I've surrounded myself with such an amazing team, at this point in the project there's not a ton that I can do. I'm focusing on what's coming out after the game ships," Bleszinski told us.
"I've already played the tenth role; it's not finished yet but when the game's out, people are going to be playing with the first nine roles and 18 characters, and there's going to be a tenth coming along hopefully soon after launch, as well as new maps and whatnot. You have to have content drops in this new world order."
What role are you most looking forward to trying when Lawbreakers drops on August 8 for PC and PS4? Let us know in the comments and watch the full interview with Cliff Bleszinski below.
