NHL 12 breaks records
NHL Superstars on Facebook.
EA Sports have announced that {NHL 12} recorded the biggest launch week of any game in the series so far, tallying up 451,000 copies and $27 million in revenue during its first week on the market. The numbers constitute a 19 per cent increase in Europe and North America as far as first week sales go.
EA also announced that a social game called NHL Superstars, will launch on Facebook early in October.
"The fan response to {NHL 12} has been incredible, and we're delighted to expand the franchise to Facebook next month," said Andrew Wilson, Executive Vice President, EA SPORTS. "{NHL 12} is our most exciting hockey game ever, with more than 300 gameplay improvements and the ability to play with some of the NHL's greatest legends."
