Ben Brode's Second Dinner working on a Marvel project

Brode and Hamilton Chu have deals with both NetEase and Marvel as part of their recent startup company, having left Blizzard last year.

Last year saw former Hearthstone developers Ben Brode and Hamilton Chu part ways with Blizzard to work on another project, and now they've revealed what their new studio - called Second Dinner - is working on, which includes a big license.

The pair have revealed that they've received an investment of no less than $30 million USD for NetEase, which is a big enough name in itself, but they've also scored a deal with Marvel for an unannounced game, coming to mobile platforms.

The team have a new office in Irvine to go along with this news, and Second Dinner are recruiting now for these projects. Their experience on Hearthstone - on which Brode worked as game director while Chu was executive producer - should attest to the quality of their work, and with this funding it'll be very interesting to see what they can do here.

What should they do with the Marvel license?
