Starcraft II beta extended

We all thought that the beta for {Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty} was supposed to shut down today, but no siree! Blizzard have now announced that they are extending the beta by a whole week, so instead it will end on June 7.

In an earlier statement from Blizzard it was said that the beta would make a return before the actual game is released on July 27. If that still stands is unknown right now.
