Playoffs for War Thunder's Thunder League announced
8 teams remain as the prize pool hits $42,000.
Thunder League, the professional eSports league for Gaijin Entertainment has reached the play-off stage with 8 teams remaining. The playoff matches are played in a special game mode designed for eSports that combines tanks and aircraft. The remaining teams are from Russia (4), European Union (1), Poland (1), Belorussia (1) and the Ukraine (1). Team Dislike from Russia won the group first phase where 10 teams competed. The way the play-offs work is that teams placed 5-8 face eachother for two spots in the next round where they faced the third and fourth placed teams respectively. Team Dislike and second placed Polish outfit Dynamight enter in the next round against the winners. There is also a loser's bracket where a team losing in the first round could potentially qualify for the grand finale.
You can still join the fun over on the official website and gain access to Thunder League exclusives in-game. The idea is that buying dog tags will help increase the prize pool and as the overall prize pool increases more exclusives are unlocked for players. Currently the prize pool sits at just over $42,000 and at $50,000 a premium vehicle pack containing Panther T-V and BF109-E7/U2 is unlocked for everyone with dog tags. You can also participate by predicting what team will win, and thus unlock further exclusives for {War Thunder}.
