Monolith's X (working title) revealed

During the E3 Nintendo Direct broadcast we got to see a new game called {X} (working title), from makers of {Xenoblade Chronicles}, Tetsuya Takahashi and Monolith Soft. The demo we watched was filled to the brim with huge mechs and monsters. Satoru Iwata, hosting the livestream, promised a huge open world for players to explore, and a release sometime in 2014.
