Social Ghost Recon shuts down

Ubisoft are shutting down {Ghost Recon Commander}, and the developer Loot Drop have had to lay of the development team as a result. The news broke on Brenda Romero's Twitter (formerly Brathwaite):

"Sad news. Today, {Ghost Recon Commander} was cancelled. As a result, we laid off a team of kick-ass developers. If you have openings, ping me."

Ubisoft later confirmed the news with Inside Social Games, and confirmed that the game would be running until the end of the year, but that players would no longer be able to buy in-game content.
