Doom 4 with Oculus Rift

The "sort of announced" (way back in 2008) {Doom 4} will support the impressive Oculus Rift VR helmet once it is finished according to creator and VR enthusiast John Carmack at QuakeCon.

"I'm excited for once {Doom 3} ships, and gets out there, I'll put all this stuff into the {Doom 4} platform, which will be nice to take our current top-of-the-line stuff and have that in virtual reality," Carmack told The Verge. "I'm looking forward to doing that.
