1.7 million SWTOR subscribers

EA have announced that December release {Star Wars: The Old Republic} has a healthy 1.7 million subscribers with 2 million copies of the game having been sold since its release. The numbers are in line with what analysts predicted, and is confirmation that the game has managed to establish a strong hold in the difficult MMORPG market.
